CCA Adds First Coaches
CCA is excited to announce the hiring of our first coaches to help kick-off our school’s middle school athletic program for the 2010-11 school year.
Justin Pollard has been selected to be the Head Flag Football Coach. Justin brings a great amount of football experience and energy to the Cougar program. He was a multi-year letter winner for Lake Travis High School where he played receiver. He would go to play receiver for Abilene Christian University where he graduated from in 2008. Justin currently owns his own business and is a member of First Colony Church of Christ. He also is the son-in-law of CCA’s kindergarten teacher, Tammy McDonald.
CCA is blessed to have Gretchen Granville serve as the head coach of our middle school volleyball team. Gretchen has played and coached volleyball at many different levels. She was a multi-year letter winner for Division 1A North Carolina State University where she would coach after graduation. Gretchen has stayed active in coaching, volunteering the past few years at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes annual sports camp. Gretchen’s family is very involved in Cornerstone with all five of her children attending. Her husband, Billy, is a former NFL linebacker. The Granville’s are also members of First Colony Church of Christ.
Go long! Cornerstone Christian Academy is excited to announce it’s adding a competitive sports program this fall, beginning with flag football for boys and volleyball for girls, basketball in the winter and track in spring. The program will be open to Cornerstone and non-Cornerstone students in 5th – 8th grade. The teams will be competing against other private schools in the area.
